Hunting Season Begins...Joy! :)

No, no! :) Really, I enjoy hunting season alot! I love being up before everyone else and hauling out across the prairie with Daddy, big bro, lil bro...and me. :) But the lack of enough guns to go around is the only problem! And--getting the deer where you want them! But this time God has blessed us with FOUR deer on the first day! Wow! That oughta be a record for this family! Now, if we all can just fill ALL our licenses--and if I can get close enough to hit the broad side of the barn--that will be a double blessing! :) But the Lord will provide as He sees fit.

Daddy got his first deer first. A nice five x six buck! And then lil bro, then big bro, then Daddy again. Daddy always fills his licenses on the first day! Hmm...*ponders sudden thought* Why is it that I'm always the last to get a deer, you ask? Well--to put it bluntly--I don't know! :) Maybe because I don't get close enough like I should, and can't hold a steady bead on the target, and jerk the trigger instead of squeezing it! :D And maybe because my brothers just get into position faster than me and can find the deer better than me! ;)

Anyway, we've had a good day. :) There is just something particularly satisfying when you pull into the drive hauling two or three deer behind you, even if you weren't one the who got them! ;) Providing for the family...bringing home the bacon...tis a lovely feeling! :) Well...not the killing something part, but the--you know--yeah--Nevermind! :)

Have a good evening everyone! God bless! :)

"And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things even as the green herbs." Genesis 9:2-3 :)

Killing poor innocent animals? How would you feel if we were hunted?

...I'm kidding. :D Sounds really neat. I haven't done too much bigger game hunting (I wasn't hunting the bear I had to shoot), but I'm looking forward to starting in Alaska.

I'm sure I wouldn't feel like a deer! :)

Ahhh! Scary on bear hunting! I'll stick to hunting what can't hunt me back! ;)

PS Thanks, Denielle! :)
