"We need a little Christmas . . . "

There's a song Dawna sang this year. A pretty one, with Santa, and ditties about bright lights,
and holly, not really how I want my little girls and boys to think of Christmas, not genuinely.
But there are a few lines and that say something like this:
"For I've grown a little leaner,
Grown a little colder,
Grown a little sadder,
Grown a little older,
And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder,
Need a little Christmas now . . . "
I like that. How when you celebrate the CHRIST in Christmas the leaner, colder, sadder, older, they
all just find the angel sitting on their shoulder.
All from a little Christmas.
How Christmas is at the end of the year, when all things of a new year, good and bad, have passed,
and those bits of change, sad and hopeful, have crept in, how little by little you've forgotten
all the joys of that savior baby---you find Christmas again.
Giving cost the Savior baby His life, so it wouldn't cost you yours to give a little here and there.
So we could give all year long and be glad because we gave.
It makes me want to give, and give.
Dear Little Mini Me's(someday),
That's what Christmas is.
Love, Me

Because it's been too long since their have been toes on this blog. :)

Every blog needs toes now and then. :) And it looks like we had some of the same brainwaves when it came to present wrapping! Except yours are prettier!
