Festivities of Fall

We had a delightful surprise this week! My Grandma from Nebraska and Aunt Connie paid us a visit this weekend! Well, I should say it was intended to be a surprise, but some little boy running about the house let it slip! ;) Ah, dear, me! :D But we did have a splendid time with them. We had a lovely little harvest party at home at which we were allowed to dress in costumes for the occasion, in attempt to take back the Halloween day from the evil one who lurks about on such a night! Dawna made a darling cake but as it was devoured before I had any thought to get a picture of it...there is none! :) So...onward to the splendid occasion!

We had all sorts of lovely music lined up for Grandma.
Hannah got out her flute to play for the first time since being home
from the hospital! It was a lovely sound indeed!

Dawna attended as the gypsy Esmerelda!
A fair one indeed, she was! :) I wish I'd gotten
a better picture of her!

My big little brother (as he is quite taller than me now)

came as his fictional character Glandias. Mom made him that cool outfit!

The cutest and sweetest of all, I daresay, was lovely Hannah,

who attended as the gorgeous Yellow Rose of Texas! :)

I was the gypsy Odessa.

Thanks Hannah for doing my hair! :)

The next night we had a bonfire! It was lovely! We told stories,

laughed, sang songs and roasted marshmellows! Oh,

the memories we make in such a short while!

Joseph before the flames! And no, there was no burning at the stake

for unruly children! ;)

The Ring of Fire!

This is Mom's fountain Dad bought her for her birthday!

It was so mysterious and somber in their dark bedroom,

I just couldn't help but take a picture of it! Or two...

Good night, all! :) Have a splendifferous week!

"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven...a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4
